Job description

As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and maintaining our modern data landscape. You'll design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines within Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric; laying the foundation for analytics and business excellence across our organization. What does this role involve?

In this role, you will take ownership of building robust, secure, and future-proof data solutions that empower Schenk to make data-driven decisions every day. You will be the bridge between technology and business, ensuring that data is not only clean and reliable, but also meaningful and actionable for colleagues across departments.

Working closely with analysts, business users, and IT teams, you will translate business questions into data models, dashboards, and insights that drive smarter, faster, and safer operations. You'll help transform raw data into clear business intelligence and guide the organization toward data maturity and innovation. As a Data Analytics Engineer, you don't just work behind the screen, you actively collaborate with the business to understand their challenges and turn them into data solutions that create real value.

You report directly to the Business Intelligence Manager and will have high impact on taking architectural and tooling decisions within the framework of our strategic data roadmap.

What will you do?

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows in Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Microsoft Fabric;
  • Ingesting and transforming data from multiple structured and unstructured sources;
  • Building scalable, reliable data architectures that ensure high performance and availability;
  • Implementing and enforcing data security and compliance standards;
  • Setting up monitoring solutions to gain insights into platform performance;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data solutions;
  • Creating and maintaining documentation, governance standards, and best practices;
  • Supporting team development through knowledge sharing, feedback, and innovation;
  • Acting as a key driver in our data culture transformation and contributing to our greenfield Fabric platform initiative;
  • Support the business in adopting and leveraging agentic AI techniques to drive smarter decision-making and efficiency.

Requirements

Do you have a Master's degree?, * At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analytics Professional;

  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset. Encourages collaboration and innovation through a proactive, solution-driven approach;
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL-based transformations;
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and workflow automation;
  • Experience with Python or PySpark, SQL;
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and access management;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or BI tools (Power BI, etc.) is a plus;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a diverse, cross-functional environment;
  • Eagerness to learn and develop yourself as a Data Professional is vital.

  • A salary from €4,200 to €5,600 gross per month based on 40 hours (based on your experience and skills);
  • 8% holiday allowance, and 27.5 vacation days (including 20 statutory, 4 extra-statutory, and 3.5 additional leave days);
