PHP Engineer

We are expanding our Payments team and searching for an expert on PHP and who has experience with modern Laravel. We're looking for an exceptional engineer to join our Payments team at Studocu, where you'll work on mission-critical infrastructure that powers our subscription-based premium service used by millions of students worldwide. You'll work closely with our designers and front-end engineers to shape the future of payments at Studocu. Our payments infrastructure is a sophisticated, multi-provider ecosystem that handles the complete subscription lifecycle: Payment Provider Integration: We integrate with multiple payment providers to support diverse payment methods across 40+ Countries from credit cards and Apple Pay to regional solutions like iDEAL, SEPA Direct Debit, PIX, and GCash. Complex Checkout Flows: Build and optimize conversion-critical checkout experiences that include: * Multi-step payment flows with authentication, trial subscriptions, and tiered premium plans * Real-time A/B testing infrastructure * Dynamic payment plan selection with country-specific pricing and currency handling * Success and failure state management with comprehensive analytics tracking Subscription Management: Own the entire subscription lifecycle including trial periods, billing cycles, payment method updates, subscription cancellations, dunning management, and payment recovery flows. Analytics & Experimentation: Implement event tracking with checkout funnels, payment success/failure analytics, and A/B test variant attribution across the entire payment journey.
