Job description

As a SQL Database Platform Owner you will take ownershipo of the SQL platform's overall roadmap, performance, compliance, and modernization strategy. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and managed service providers to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency across a complex, distributed landscape of SQL Server and Azure SQL environments., * Define and execute the SQL platform roadmap, focusing on modernization, high availability/disaster recovery, automation, and cloud adoption.

  • Govern the database landscape for performance, security, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with external operations teams to handle escalations and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Provide architectural and strategic input for database optimization, migration, and consolidation projects.
  • Lead initiatives to retire legacy systems, streamline environments, and implement monitoring solutions (LogicMonitor).
  • Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Ensure database standards, documentation, and CMDB data remain accurate and compliant., * 25 holidays + 13 ADV days;

Requirements

  • 5+ years of SQL database experience, primarily with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with Azure SQL and large-scale or global environments.
  • Solid understanding of database architecture, HA/DR strategies, and security principles.
  • Experience in governing managed service providers and monitoring performance (LogicMonitor experience is a major advantage).
  • Knowledge of ITIL v4 and working experience with ITSM processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. In addition, you are comfortable working in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
