Job description

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Involvement in front end development work with Angular
Drive technical decisions and take ownership of product development initiatives
Collaborate with UI/UX developers and mobile application developers to deliver scalable services and real-time communication.
Optimise system performance and ensure high availability in cloud environments
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decisions and technology choices.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework
Front End Development Experience with Angular
Extensive database experience, particularly with MySQL (other database technologies are welcome)
Proven experience building and deploying cloud-based applications
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Experience with platform automation and observability

Nice to Have

Experience with performance analysis and optimisation
Database performance tuning and query optimisation expertise
Knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), Java Angular

Benefits & conditions

Applicants must be based in Northern Ireland as the team like to get together from time to time but the vast majority of the role will be fully remote working.
