Job description
- Lead the full data migration lifecycle from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA
- Manage and mentor a team of data migration developers, ensuring delivery against project milestones.
- Develop and manage project plans for data migration activities, aligning with the overall programme timeline.
- Conduct data workshops with business stakeholders and SAP functional consultants to define data requirements, sources, mappings, and transformation rules.
- Collaborate with business data stewards and functional teams to provide guidance on data cleansing, data enrichment, and data quality issues.
- Review and validate technical documentation, including mapping specifications, data load plans, and reconciliation reports.
- Identify, track, and resolve defects and issues throughout the migration process.
- Analyse source datasets to identify data quality issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Provide regular status updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to project leadership.
- Act as the primary point of contact for data migration-related topics, effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to oversee and drive the data migration workstream for a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of the end-to-end data migration lifecycle, proven leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience with SAP.
The successful candidate will lead a team of developers and analysts, ensuring timely and high-quality data migration from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA. While this is a leadership role, it also demands strong technical knowledge to mentor the team and provide hands-on support where necessary., * Deep understanding of the data migration lifecycle and SAP best practices.
- Hands-on experience working with complex source datasets and performing data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical data migration concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage technical teams.
- Comfortable working across functional and technical teams to align on data requirements and resolve issues.
