Job description

We are looking for a Survey, Data and Tender (SD&T) Assistant to work alongside our Survey and Tender (S&T) Manager to support the Nature Team at Greengage. You'll help to schedule surveys, identify equipment requirements, prepare tender responses and quotation letters, and effectively manage data., The role would suit an existing administrative assistant with effective organisational skills and an aptitude for problem solving, with a passion for the natural environment. While attendance at the London office is required, occasional remote working is possible., * Working closely with the S&T Manager to manage surveys, tenders and quotations.

  • Assisting with the scheduling of surveys by contacting staff, subcontractors and casual staff and providing them with the information needed to complete surveys.
  • Hiring and off-hiring cars and survey equipment.
  • Booking hotels, events and travel for the Nature Team.
  • Reviewing system folders and the project management system, and identifying project and training needs.
  • Inspecting survey equipment, ensuring it's in a good state of repair and set up ready for the next use.
  • Organising the transport and servicing of equipment and retrieving and managing survey data as needed.
  • Ensuring that data is effectively managed, including downloading data from survey equipment (cameras and bat detectors) in accordance with Greengage's data handling procedures.
  • Registering quotation and tender enquiries on the Greengage system and providing an initial response.
  • Drafting quotation responses and fee estimates for review and approval by a member of the Nature Team.
  • Helping to manage the survey schedule and provide onboarding material, site information and other data as required.

Requirements

Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel, Quotations, Google Forms, Management Skills, Project Work, Powerpoint, The ideal candidate will have experience working in ecological consultancy and/or consultancy-based administration, and an understanding of survey types.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience of Google Forms would be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisation, problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Passion for the natural environment., * Do you have experience in supporting tenders, quotations and project work?
