Job description

  • System maintenance: Installs, configures, and maintains computer hardware, software, operating systems, and applications.
  • Technical support: Serves as the first point of contact for stores and employees experiencing technical issues with hardware, software, or network connectivity, and resolves problems in a timely manner. Being on call during out of office hours and site visits are essential when required.
  • Network administration: Assists with administering and monitoring the company network, ensuring smooth and secure data flow.
  • Security management: Implements and monitors security measures like firewalls and antivirus software to protect the network and data from cyber threats.
  • Documentation and training: Creates and maintains technical documentation and provides training to staff on new systems, software, and IT best practices.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics: Performs diagnostic tests and uses analytical skills to diagnose and solve hardware or software faults.
  • Equipment management: Manages the inventory of IT equipment, including ordering new hardware, and installing and configuring devices for new hires.
  • System upgrades: Participates in the planning and rollout of new applications, system upgrades, and migrations.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Educational background: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is often preferred.

  • Technical expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of various operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and common business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office 365).
  • Familiarity with networking principles, including TCP/IP, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience with help desk support and ticketing systems.
  • Certifications: Relevant professional certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, can be highly beneficial.
  • Problem-solving abilities: Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Communication skills: The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical staff is essential.
  • Personal attributes: Strong attention to detail, a customer-service-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
