Express Recruitment are proud to be supporting a local organisation who are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Support Administrator to join their friendly team.
This role gives the opportunity to support the efficient delivery of purchasing, invoicing, and payment processes within a busy highways department, while providing effective administrative support and maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with departmental policies and procedures whilst working for a reputable Local Authority.
The ideal candidate will hold experience working with bespoke computer systems and be able to input data with high levels of accuracy.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices to ensure timely and accurate supplier payments
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and regulations for all payment activities
- Respond to supplier and internal service enquiries via telephone and email
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice, accounts and order discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial and contract monitoring records using Local Authority databases
- Produce financial and data reports to support management oversight
- Record, process, and monitor financial transactions, orders, and accounts
- Develop and maintain efficient document management and record-keeping systems
- Provide reception and administrative support, including handling calls, emails, and front-desk enquiries
Requirements
Do you have experience in Microsoft Office?, * Previous office-based administration experience
- Strong adherence to the Data Protection Act
- Strong IT skills to include full MS Office suite
- Professional and approachable telephone manner
- Able to work well on own initiative
