Job description

As a Product Owner, you will:

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with our product vision and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX, R&D, Regulatory, and Product Management) to deliver high-quality, compliant software.
  • Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Partner with UX and Product to guide user research, design validation, and feature discovery.
  • Monitor product performance, identify improvements, and drive continuous delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards (e.g. ISO 13485, SaMD).
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clinicians and business leaders., * Maintain and refine the team backlog (features, defects, enablers).
  • Facilitate sprint planning and define sprint goals.
  • Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles and validate acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in roadmap planning and define release content.
  • Collaborate with Tech Comms on release notes and user documentation.
  • Understand and sequence enabler work with Engineering.
  • Support team demos and retrospectives to foster continuous improvement.

Requirements

Associate / Junior Product Owner (1-3 years)

  • Exposure to Agile product delivery or UX/design within software development.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Interest or background in healthcare technology or medical devices.

Mid-Level Product Owner (3-5 years)

  • Proven experience managing Agile backlogs and working with cross-functional software teams.
  • Understanding of healthcare or regulated software environments (ISO 13485 preferred).
  • Experience translating research and user needs into technical requirements.

Senior Product Owner / Product Manager (5+ years)

  • Leadership experience across full product lifecycle-from discovery to post-launch.
  • Deep understanding of clinical workflows, interventional or surgical imaging (C-arms, angiography, etc.) preferred.
  • Expertise in healthcare software, digital devices, or enterprise B2B health systems.
  • Formal Scrum certification and experience working in regulated environments.

Desired Skills

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Experience working directly with clinicians or hospital teams.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications, EHR integration, or SaMD solutions.
  • Willingness to travel (some overnight stays, UK/EU/US).
