Job description

As aForce Control Room Data Analyst, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Force Control Room's Senior Leadership Team by delivering insightful, data-driven analysis. Your work will help identify root causes of operational challenges and inform strategies that make Lincolnshire the safest place to live, work, and visit.

You'll be influencing decisions that affect policing outcomes, community safety, and resource planning. If you thrive on problem-solving and want to see your analysis make a tangible difference, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

  • Provide analytical support for strategic decision-making, using data from multiple sources.
  • Develop and test hypotheses about policing activities and their impact on communities.
  • Deliver clear, concise reports and briefings to senior officers.
  • Identify information gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Present findings to stakeholders, demonstrating the value of data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with other analysts to spot trends and improve demand management.
  • Continuously review staffing models using trend data to meet KPIs.
  • Stay informed about developments in policing and wider socio-economic factors.

Requirements

  • Experience:
  • Skilled in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience preparing and presenting complex information clearly.
  • Skills:
  • Strong IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
  • Logical thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
