IT Support Engineer

We are looking for a smart individual to join our busy IT department. Working within a small team and reporting to the IT Manger, you will be responsible for offering technical support to all staff within our branches. The ideal candidate should have the following knowledge and skills but not essential, * Provide support for the IT infrastructure

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues escalated from users
• Perform system upgrades and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and security
• Collaborate with other IT teams to implement and support new technologies and solutions
• Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
• Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with end users
• Document all support activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions and knowledge base articles
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies (operating systems, networking & IT support)
• Out of hour IT support on a rota basis

Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies

• Virtualisation experience - Hyper V
• Excellent understanding of M365, O365 and Teams
• Cloud experience Apps
• Microsoft Server - Windows 2016, AD, DNS, DHCP, ADFS
• Veeam Backups on premises / 365
• Microsoft 365 administration - Azure - Endpoint - SharePoint
• Exchange on premises
• Understanding of networking components (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLAN, Active Directory)
• Virtual Windows Servers 2016 - 2022/25
• Troubleshooting experience
• Advanced Windows 11 Desktop Administration, * Strong organisational and communication skills
• Self starter able to deliver projects/tasks on time
• Time management skills
• Agile approach / Multitasking / Attention to detail
• Experience of supporting installation
• Problem solving / Critical planning skills
• Knowledge of defining/documenting/implementing firmware & software patching principles
