Job description

We are an award-winning Ecommerce software company seeking an adaptable graphic designer to join our expanding team at the Cobalt Business Park in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are embarking on a website rebrand and product design refresh to elevate our look, feel, user interaction and overall brand experience and this role will be pivotal in determining our continued branding and design aesthetics in the future.

The Graphic Designer ( Product & Website ) is responsible for owning and driving the website rebrand project, as well as leading the design, theming and user-experience of our product and themes. This person will act as the design lead working closely with our newly appointed head of product Dan and collaborating closely across marketing and development. They will ensure the brand and brand guidelines are developed consistently across digital touch-points, themes/templates, product design assets, and drive a unified, compelling visual experience that supports business objectives.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the website rebrand: develop the visual identity, user journey, design system (colours, typography, imagery, UI components) and support implementation.
  • Define, manage and maintain the style guide for Shoptimised, ensuring consistency with our visual messaging
  • Lead the design and theme creation for our product offerings working closely with our head of product who will provide the technical specifications to support the project from concept through to delivery.
  • Maintain project timelines, budgets, and ensure the rebrand / theme rollout meets business milestones.
  • Stay current with design, UI/UX, e-commerce themes and web design trends; make recommendations for innovation.
  • Developing Asset Templates ( Such as PDFs for use by our Sales Teams )
  • Act as internal lead for brand and design standards and encourage collaboration across teams.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Web design?, Essential:

  • Proven experience in website rebrand
  • Strong portfolio showing web design work, theme/template design, UI and UX deliverables.
  • Proficient in the use of design tools.
  • Attention to detail, brand-focused mindset.
  • Experience working with Figma, Inkscape and Adobe creative cloud or similar design tools
