Job description

We are seeking an experienced Collibra Developer / Collibra Technical SME to join a major enterprise data governance programme. This role focuses on designing, building and optimising solutions across the Collibra platform, supporting metadata management, data lineage and reference data capabilities.

You will work closely with data owners, stewards and technology teams to ensure the Collibra environment runs efficiently, delivers high-quality metadata, and integrates seamlessly with the wider data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and configure Collibra operating models, domains, communities and asset types

  • Develop Collibra workflows using BPMN, Groovy and Java APIs

  • Implement metadata ingestion, lineage integrations and custom API/SDK automation

  • Configure and support Collibra Edge, metadata harvesting and ingestion pipelines

  • Integrate Collibra with ETL/ELT, databases and BI tools

  • Optimise platform performance, troubleshoot issues and support upgrades

  • Enable dashboards, KPIs and reporting within Collibra

  • Provide best practices, technical guidance and knowledge transfer to governance teams

Requirements

  • Strong, hands-on experience with Collibra development

  • Proficiency in BPMN, Groovy, Java, REST APIs

  • Solid SQL skills and experience with major databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, BigQuery)

  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage) and BI tools (Qlik, Power BI)

  • Good understanding of metadata standards, lineage, reference data and business glossaries

  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Desirable

  • Collibra Ranger / Expert certification

  • Experience delivering Collibra solutions in large, complex organisations
