Job description

As a Knowledge Management Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is a unique opportunity to influence how knowledge is managed within a complex, high-profile environment, while developing your expertise and leadership skills.

Day-to-day, you'll own and drive the strategy for capturing and sharing learning across a portfolio of projects that will span the next decade. Your work will ensure that lessons learned inform current and future programmes, supporting the Royal Navy's ability to maintain vessels safely and effectively.

  • Draft and agree the Learning from Experience (LFE) strategy for Major Infrastructure Projects
  • Act as the subject matter expert for LFE support and advice
  • Conduct audits to assure compliance with knowledge management processes
  • Provide guidance to projects on capturing and applying lessons learned
  • Collaborate with the wider Knowledge Management community to share best practice

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Requirements

Essential experience of the Knowledge Management Lead

  • Experience in developing and managing knowledge management systems and strategies
  • Strong grasp of knowledge management principles and industry standards
  • Skilled in facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders effectively
  • Familiarity with construction or nuclear legislation and company procedures for safety and quality
  • Proficient in office software and documentation tools

Qualifications for the Knowledge Management Lead

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
