Lead Golang Software Engineer, Commercial Systems Canonical is hiring for a Lead Golang Software Engineer across seniority levels. This role is remote-based in the EMEA region (all teams except Ubuntu Pro) or the AMER region (Ubuntu Pro). The position focuses on delivering high-quality software in the Commercial Systems unit, which includes multiple Golang-based services that support Canonical's business and billing, contracts, patch delivery, and Ubuntu Pro offerings. Responsibilities * Develop engineering solutions leveraging Golang * Lead technical designs, code reviews, and implementation * Deploy and operate services developed by the team * Coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback to colleagues * Develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices What we are looking for in you * Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university * Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about an alternative path
Requirements
