We're looking for a Product Owner to join our dynamic Website Product team. You'll play a key role in shaping and evolving our large, customer-facing websites - ensuring they deliver seamless, user-centric journeys that drive conversion, satisfaction, and loyalty.
This is a hands-on role in our CMS where you'll work across squads, collaborating with developers, designers, marketers, editorial teams and a wide range of stakeholders to deliver high-impact changes aligned to our product vision and OKRs. You'll be focused on delivering great customer experiences, ensuring quality across our websites, and helping drive meaningful improvements to our websites.
Main Duties:
- Own and optimise key areas of our Admiral brand websites via our CMS platforms with the website product team.
- Brief the creation of new templates, modules, functionality and website elements, with both customer experience and content editor usability in mind.
- In our CMS, oversee and directly implement the delivery of large-scale and high profile page builds and regular BAU updates ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Maintain a well-structured and optimised CMS environment to support efficient content management and editorial workflows.
- Prioritise and manage sprint backlogs, coordinating workflows across cross-functional teams using tools like Jira.
- Analyse performance data and customer insights to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with IT, editorial, content and design teams to deliver new features and enhancements, from concept to release.
- Deliver CMS training sessions for content editors and create/maintain a comprehensive CMS guide.
- Define and track OKRs at both team and squad level, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Troubleshoot issues in the CMS and website.
- Seek out and develop new website functionality to meet customer and editorial needs.
- Ensure website governance, accessibility, and brand standards are upheld across all content and functionality including cookie functionality.
- Run A/B tests as required.
- Contribute to the product community of practice, sharing learnings and driving best practices.
Requirements
- Proven substantial experience managing websites and content via CMS platforms with a great understanding of CMS architecture and integrations.
- Excellent experience in managing CMS updates, backups, and resolving technical issues with technical teams.
- Experience in briefing new modules and website elements with customer experience and content editor experience in mind.
- Strong understanding of customer journeys and how to optimise them for conversion and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Experience optimizing content and layouts for usability, accessibility, web speed.
- Understanding of SEO principles and how they impact content and structure.
- Experience working in Agile environments, writing user stories, and managing sprint priorities.
- Comfortable with monitoring website performance, self-serving and interpreting data and using insights to inform decisions.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering great customer outcomes.
- Awareness of compliance and accessibility standards in digital environments.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
- Passionate about websites and website technologies.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with design systems or component libraries.
- Experience with website optimization, testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Experience of analysing and refining processes and functions.
- Familiarity with cookie compliance and privacy regulations.
