Job description
Join us as a Network & Telecoms Engineer and play a key role in keeping our digital infrastructure running smoothly across all Trust sites. In this hands-on, customer-facing role, you will:
- Maintain and develop our network and telecoms systems to meet the evolving needs of staff, patients, and visitors.
- Lead technical solutions-identify, recommend, and implement cost-effective technologies that drive innovation.
- Act as the technical lead on BAU and project tasks, collaborating with colleagues to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver multi-disciplinary projects.
- Engage with stakeholders via phone, email, and face-to-face, always delivering a professional, high-quality service.
- Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota and carry out planned maintenance outside core hours, including evenings and weekends., + Implement and maintain the Trust's network and telecoms infrastructure to ensure reliable digital services for staff, patients, and visitors, including:
- Wired and wireless networks
- External connectivity (WAN, internet, remote access, VPN)
- Firewalls
- On-premise and off-premise network and telecoms systems
- Telecoms solutions, including Mitel IP telephony

Diagnose and resolve faults by completing assigned Service Desk tickets within SLA, keeping customers informed and escalating where necessary.

Deliver assigned project tasks on time, providing regular updates to stakeholders and escalating risks promptly.

Provide on-site support across all Trust locations for BAU activities, ticket resolution, and project delivery.

Manage system updates and upgrades with minimal disruption to live services.
