WordPress Developer

We are seeking an experienced WordPress developer to join a remote team on a full-time contract basis. You will be responsible for crafting fast, accessible, maintainable custom WordPress sites using bespoke themes and Advanced Custom Fields. You will collaborate with a designer, operations lead, managing director and fellow developers, and occasionally speak directly with clients., * Write efficient, accessible, mobile-first HTML, SCSS/CSS and JavaScript

• Maintain and enhance existing websites
• Take part in client calls when needed
• Build custom WordPress themes with ACF and clean PHP
• Work with the wider team to meet deadlines and maintain quality
• Optimise site performance, security and SEO

Do you have experience in WordPress?, * Proven track record in WordPress bespoke theme and plugin development

• Expert in ACF, PHP (7+), HTML5, SCSS/CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
• Familiarity with WP-CLI, REST API and headless WordPress setups
• Solid understanding of performance optimisation, accessibility standards and security best practice
• Comfortable with Git and managing staging and production servers
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Clear communicator, both written and spoken
• Experience with Agile workflows and tools such as Jira or Trello
