Job description

  • Be the IT lead with COINs, including training, first-line support and troubleshooting, and liaising with the COINs supplier.
  • Install, configure, and update computer hardware, software, and network equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Perform routine system maintenance and updates to ensure security and optimal performance.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of servers, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Document technical procedures and create user guides as needed.
  • Conduct new starter inductions and training.
  • Assist with and oversee various ad-hoc IT projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.

Requirements

We're seeking a skilled and energetic IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to our teams across multiple sites and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, networking, and operating systems, along with excellent customer service skills.

We're offering a salary of £25,500 to £33,000 per annum, plus training and development. Willingness to undertake training is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications in IT support or networking would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity of JIRA will be advantageous.
  • Experience with COINs is preferred.
