Job description

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the underlying infrastructure required for the OpenShift platform.

  • This includes provisioning virtual machines, configuring storage, and ensuring robust networking to support secure, scalable, and compliant containerized environments., Design and provision infrastructure components (VMs, storage, networking) to support OpenShift clusters.
  • Collaborate with OpenShift architects and engineers to ensure infrastructure aligns with platform requirements.
  • Implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for OpenShift environments.
  • Configure and manage network connectivity, load balancing, and Firewall rules for containerized workloads.
  • Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank's security, regulatory, and operational standards.

Requirements

Strong experience in infrastructure engineering (compute, storage, networking).

  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
  • Familiarity with OpenShift and Kubernetes platform requirements.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and Scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud setups.
  • Understanding of security best practices for infrastructure and container platforms.
