Job description
This role is responsible for designing end-to-end technology solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs. Acting as the bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, you'll shape architectures that support the organisation's long-term goals., Solution Architecture & Design
- Develop both high-level and detailed solution architectures across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Ensure all designs follow enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.
- Produce architectural documentation, models, and diagrams to support proposed solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Technology Evaluation & Advisory
- Review new tools, cloud services, and emerging technologies; recommend adoption where beneficial.
- Conduct feasibility assessments and cost/benefit analysis for new initiatives.
Governance & Best Practice
- Define and uphold architectural principles, design patterns, and best-practice guidelines.
- Ensure seamless integration across platforms, systems, and hybrid environments.
Risk, Security & Compliance
- Identify architectural risks and define mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all solutions align with cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory standards.
The Cloud Solutions Architect to be onsite 2 days a week in Fareham.
Requirements
My Customer is looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and a strong grounding in on-premise infrastructure., * Deep knowledge of Azure cloud services, with hands-on experience designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
- Strong background in on-premise infrastructure, networking, security, and core IT platforms.
- Strong experience designing templates and documentation.
- Understanding of APIs, integration patterns, microservices, and modern application architectures.
- Strong understanding of Security Standards (NIST) is essential
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is a plus.
- Experience across multiple cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) beneficial but not essential.
