Job description

Are you an experienced Systems Engineer ready to take a leading role in developing cutting-edge defence technology? This is an opportunity to join a world-class engineering environment focused on delivering advanced, multi-mission solutions for global naval customers.

You will work at the forefront of Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) innovation, supporting next-generation systems for international defence partners. If you thrive in complex engineering environments and enjoy owning technical direction, this role offers the challenge, autonomy and impact you're looking for., * Defining and managing system and subsystem requirements

  • Leading system design activities including functional and non-functional analysis
  • Conducting trade studies to drive optimal design decisions
  • Owning the Integration, Verification & Validation (IVV) strategy
  • Supporting bid and proposal efforts
  • Leading technical reviews, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentoring and coaching junior engineers
  • Contributing to the business' digital transformation

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years' experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, processes and methodologies
  • Experience delivering solutions across the full project lifecycle
  • Excellent stakeholder communication, including customer and senior leadership engagement
  • Experience delivering and managing KPIs
  • Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with tools such as DOORS, UML tools, ERP and configuration management platforms

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with EMI/EMC design, integration and testing
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD environmental and EMC standards
  • Sonar systems or naval deployment experience
  • Knowledge of safety, ILS, or cyber security

Security clearance eligibility is essential due to programme requirements.
