Job description
Data is the new oil, also at ECS. The aim is to extract valuable information from the large amount of data that ECS possesses to make the business more intelligent and efficient. You will work in a dynamic team of business analysts, test coordinators and data analysts.
Role:
As a BI & Data Analyst, you are responsible for the functional and content analysis of the reporting environment.
Responsibilities:
- Data Warehouse
ECS has a broad reporting landscape covering all aspects of the business. You will be responsible for maintaining and further developing this landscape in collaboration with the other members of the ICT team.
- Analysing reporting needs and familiarising yourself with the entire reporting landscape within ECS.
- Functional management of the Data Warehouse and analysing and testing any modifications and expansions.
- Reporting
You maintain the reporting environment and handle new requests, with an eye for standardisation and customer friendliness. You do this in close consultation with key users and customer contacts.
- Developing standard reports for internal and external customers
- Developing dashboards in PowerBI
- Analysing and building specific project-related studies such as Track&Trace, et
- Helping to evolve raw data into intelligence and knowledge
- Taking control of various modification requests
- Training key users
- Improving the security of our systems and protecting our data. Your expertise in integrating security measures into ICT systems and software will be of great importance in building and delivering reliable solutions and IT services to our users and customers.
- Data Analytics
You analyse the available business data in depth using statistical techniques and analytical IT tools. You strive to provide valuable information to the company. In this way, you help predict volumes, identify pain points and opportunities, and provide information for pricing and planning decisions.
- You proactively organise analytics projects and stay up to date with recent trends and developments.
- Analyse historical data as input for our modules.
- You predict volumes and trends based on data research.
Requirements
- You have strong analytical skills and are capable of abstract and solution-oriented thinking.
- You have a strong affinity for data analysis and statistics.
- You can work independently and proactively.
- You have a master's degree with a focus on numbers
- You have a good knowledge of databases, SQL code and ETL processes
- You have experience in a job where reporting and/or data analysis are central
- Knowledge of PowerBI and MS Fabric is a must. Knowledge of Qliksense, SSRS or other reporting tools is an asset.
- You speak and write Dutch and English fluently; knowledge of French is a plus.
