Job description

  • Assists in designing, verifying, documenting, amending and refactoring moderately complex software configurations for deployment.
  • Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
  • Collaborates in reviews of work with others as appropriate. System software
  • Monitors operational systems for resource usage and failure rates, to inform and facilitate system software tuning.
  • Applies system software parameters to maximise throughput and efficiency.
  • Installs and tests new versions of system software.
  • Contributes to preparation of software implementation procedures with fall back contingency plans. Network support
  • Contributes to the operational configuration of network components.
  • Assists in the investigation and resolution of network problems.
  • Assists with specified maintenance procedures. Systems installation and removal
  • Installs or removes system components using supplied installation instructions and tools.
  • Conducts standard tests and contributes to investigations of problems and faults.
  • Confirms the correct working of installations.
  • Documents results in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Uses approved tools and techniques for specific deployment activities.
  • Administers the recording of activities, logging of results and documents technical activities undertaken.

Requirements

Do you have experience in VMware?, * Configuration of LAN Network devices, including VOIP and VOSIP,

  • Support of back-end server infrastructure,
  • System administration of AD, DHCP, VmWare and SCCM.
  • At least 2 years practical experience of implementation and maintenance of ICT end systems within a large organization.
  • Working knowledge of Local Area Networks (LAN) / Wide Area Networks (WAN) technologies, Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/Internet protocol (IP) and standards;
  • Good Working knowledge of system network troubleshooting techniques utilising complex and diverse test equipment and software tools;
  • Advanced understanding of server and client technologies. Microsoft Active Directory implementations, Microsoft Exchange;
  • Working experience troubleshooting technical issues and providing technical support to end-users.
  • Relevant certification in IT Service Management, such as ITIL 4 Foundation or other
  • CISCO Accredited Training such as CCST
  • CISCO Accredited Training such as CCNA (desirable).
