Job description

Briefing

Responsibility of client data processing: You'll design, implement, troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of financial data efficiently.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with highly professional and diverse teams to integrate robust data solutions into cloud-based architectures. Challenge and be challenged by your co-workers to automate everything from deployment to documentation to testing using tools such as github actions, terraform, copilot and GenAI tooling.

Elevate our Data Lake infrastructure: Enhance and maintain our Data Lake to ensure top-tier data quality, security, and accessibility, supporting the flow of information across the Ohpen platforms. Leverage AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, DynamoDB and Aurora in implementation and optimization.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * You have 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

  • You have a strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, data governance, and ETL processes.
  • You have strong proficiency in languages and tools such as Python, SQL and PySpark.
  • Experience with banking software or knowledge of the banking domain, particularly mortgages, is highly valuable. We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in the domain, and not just the technology.
  • Experience in a DevOps environment and familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools and technology such as GitHub Actions is highly desired.
  • You have proficiency in Dutch and English.
  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • You excel in communication and collaboration, with the ability to clearly explain complex data issues and solutions to a diverse range of stakeholders. You like engaging with clients directly.
