Job description
The activity will be as below with switches, firewalls, Wireless access points and SDWAN devices
Per week rollout is also mentioned below.
The resource has to work in local business hrs.
Skillset is L2 network resource who knows how to work on the below technologies.
Unbox the devices , (POST) Power on self Test, Check/Inspect the devices physically, Power chord , Rack mount kit is available LED status
Cordinate with Cognizant Engineer and Connect device to the Internet to down load automatically from Portal
Configure manually,if required by connecting Console and give the access to remote Cognizant Engineer or Cognizant Engineer will provide script and copy paste on Switch,Router,WAP,Firewall
Do these activities in Coordinate with Remote Cognizant Engineer for base configuration
Do the basic testing of reachability or as per instruction given by Cognizant Remote engineer
Label the devices site wise, including serial numbers ,Site name etc.
If any devices faulty, report to Cognizant team along with device serial, model and make
Pack the devices in the box again and ship it to the site addresses as per Cognizant list provided.
Repeat this procedure for every devices
*Per Week approx. SDWAN (25), Switch(25),WAP(70),Firewalls(5) expected to do staging at customer locations ( May be Central location or distributed in 4 UK regions)
