Newly created role as a Finance Data Analyst introduced at a pivotal stage in our growth, with the opportunity to make a significant impact. A pivotal role aimed at taking the organisation to its next stage of maturity by strengthening the connection between Financial Reporting and Product/Operational teams.
The Finance Data Analyst will combine and align operational data into financial dashboards and reporting that drive profitability, cost efficiency, and strategic decision-making across the network.
Reporting to Finance, the role will be responsible for maintaining consistency and accuracy between operational systems and financial data outputs to drive accurate representation of performance in financial and BI outputs., * Maintain and create central financial and operational BI dashboards to monitor KPIs such as cost per delivered parcel, vehicle utilisation, and contribution margin (profitability) by product offering / geographical location etc.
- Collaborate with Finance and Data teams to close/improve data flow gaps and ensure performance is fully reflected in financial reporting.
- Create automated reports for management and operational teams to support real-time decision-making .
- Conduct variance and trend analysis across routes, depots, and customers to identify profit improvement opportunities.
- Create and maintain high-level financial (dbt) data models in collaboration with embedded Analytics Engineers, ensuring that cost and revenue categories are always consistent with financial mappings.

Requirements
Essencial :
- 5+ years' experience in BI, financial analysis, or data analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Business, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience working with Looker and Power BI.
- Strong proficiency writing clean and efficient SQL queries. Ideally: using dbt for scaleable data modelling and git for version control.
- Previous experience using modern BI tools (we use Looker + LookML).
- Requires a strong, end-to-end understanding of data flows .
- Understanding of financial statements and cost allocation in operations.
