Job description
We're looking for a skilled and security-conscious IT Engineer to support our clients across their devices, Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity services. This remote role is ideal for someone with strong all round technical experience and a passion for helping businesses remain secure and productive.
Working as part of our small team, you'll be responsible for providing managed IT support along with the configuration and maintenance of Microsoft 365 tenants, improving Secure Scores to minimum targets, and managing device security, patching, and updates. You'll also play a role in delivering and supporting our cybersecurity solutions, including Huntress (EDR/MDR), SentinelOne, Ironscales (email security), and other tools we deploy for our clients.
The person in this role will play a key role in our service delivery and be expected to be involved in supporting the continuous improvement of our service offering.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive support for Microsoft 365 services and cyber security services.
- Configure and maintain:
- Intune for device management and compliance.
- Entra ID for identity and access control.
- Purview for data governance and compliance.
- Defender for security defence
- Exchange for emailservices
- Copilot secure configuration (where applicable) for productivity and security insights.
- Monitor and improve Microsoft Secure Score across all clients.
- Monitoring cybersecurity services and respond to alerts and detections.
- Manage patching, updates, and endpoint health.
- Support and maintain cybersecurity tools including:
- Huntress for EDR/MDR and security awareness training.
- SentinelOne security and AV
- Ironscales for email threat protection.
- Other security solutions as deployed for clients.
- Assist with onboarding, migrations, and policy enforcement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Document solutions, configurations, and security best practices.
- Stay current with Microsoft and cybersecurity developments.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical support?, * Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support or similar technical support role within a managed service provider environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network security protocols.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and administration.
- Foundational experience with cybersecurity solutions.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Intune, Entra ID, Purview, and Copilot
- Huntress and Ironscales or similar cybersecurity platforms
- Knowledge about Microsoft Secure Score and security best practices.
- Experience with patch management and and device maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, customer focused and comfortable working remotely.
Certifications Preferred
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
- Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate (SC-400)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) - desirable
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals - beneficial for Copilot support
- CompTIA Security+ or similar - beneficial for cybersecurity alignment, * Are you able to maintain high service standard while working remotely?
- Do you have over 3 years support experience in an MSP environment?
- Provide a summary of your skills and experience with configuration and maintenance of M365 including Intune, Entra ID, Defender and Purview.
