Ad Server Configuration & Support Specialist

Ad server configuration & support specialist, focusing on the seamless transition and ongoing management of our critical ad tech infrastructure.

This is a hands-on technical role that bridges IT, Ad Operations, and Engineering, supporting internal stakeholders through configuration, troubleshooting, and system integration activities.

Role

• Ad server configuration & maintenance: Manage and enhance Ad server (FreeWhee)l system settings, including ad serving parameters, business rules, user permissions, and data integration points.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the main point of contact for all Ad server technical enquiries, such as the CMS, data warehouse, and SSPs).
• Ad Server transition: Work with various stakeholders to plan and execute the migration of ad server management responsibilities.
• Ensure all configuration and platform changes are aligned with wider business objectives by working closely with our Ad Ops, Engineering, and Product Management teams.
• You will participate actively in release cycles and project planning, impacting our ad serving technology and support integration projects involving FreeWheel and other internal or third-party systems (eg, order management, analytics, audience management).

• 3+ years of experience in ad server configuration and support, preferably with FreeWheel or a similar monetisation rights management ad server platform
• Solid understanding of digital ad delivery workflows, including VAST/VPAID, ad decisioning, and ad stitching.
• Experience with API-based integrations and data management (SQL, JSON, XML)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working across technical and commercial teams.
