Test Engineer - £400 inside IR35 - Manchester

We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer to join a Public Sector team. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our digital services. Working as part of an agile, multidisciplinary team, you'll design and execute test strategies, automate testing where possible, and contribute to continuous improvement of our quality engineering practices., 1. Create, maintain, and execute test scenarios and feature files using Cucumber.

2. Apply BDD/DDD practices to help define acceptance criteria and align business and technical needs.
3. Use Scripting languages (eg JavaScript, Python, or similar) to build automated test scripts.
4. Test APIs using tools such as Postman and integrate API testing into automated frameworks.
5. Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to refine requirements and ensure effective test coverage.
6. Contribute to agile ceremonies and continuous improvement of testing practices.
7. Document and report test outcomes, managing defects and tracking resolution.

1. Proven experience as a Test Engineer in agile delivery teams. Public Sector experience is essential.
2. Strong knowledge of Azure cloud environments and testing within them.
3. Hands-on experience writing and running tests using Cucumber or similar frameworks.
4. Strong understanding of BDD/DDD approaches in agile environments.
5. Proficiency with at least one Scripting language (JavaScript, Python, etc.).
6. Practical experience testing APIs using Postman or comparable tools.
7. Ability to design effective test strategies across functional, integration, and regression layers.
8. Experience collaborating in cross-functional agile teams.
