Job description
- We produce pure silicon anode rolls that fit seamlessly into existing battery cell manufacturing lines, enabling customers to make a quantum leap in performance or create entirely new product categories.
- Our initial focus is on consumer electronics, with automotive applications already in development.
- By leveraging semiconductor thin-film technology (plasma deposition) and scaling it to battery anodes, we've overcome the long-standing challenges of silicon in batteries, delivering durability and efficiency at scale.
To meet global demand, we're scaling up:
- PlantOne in Eindhoven opens in 2026, producing anode rolls and validating our roll-to-roll production tools.
- PlantTwo, our large-scale production facility, will follow, establishing LeydenJar as a key player in the global battery market.
This is an enormous opportunity and an ambitious journey. It requires bold, creative, and diverse minds who share our passion for innovation and sustainability. At LeydenJar, we value different perspectives, inclusive collaboration, and gender equality because we know that diversity fuels breakthrough ideas.
We are currently looking for an energetic Product Owner - pure silicon anode to join our innovative and ambitious organization.
Your Mission
As Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in our Product Development Department, leading the development and launch of LeydenJar products. You will:
- Own and prioritize the product backlog: Ensure sprints and development efforts are aligned with the product roadmap and strategic objectives.
- Lead agile project execution: Plan, coordinate, and drive project sprints, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and objectives.
- Align stakeholders: Communicate effectively with scientists, engineers, external partners, and leadership to keep everyone focused and informed.
- Manage resources and budgets: Ensure product development is completed on time and within budget, proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
- Drive technical innovation: Guide the development of new processes for silicon anodes, including PECVD thin film processing, characterization, and post-deposition treatments.
- Support external collaborations: Facilitate and manage relationships with external partners.
- Champion data-driven decision making: Oversee thin film characterizations, data analysis, and process modeling, leveraging both in-house and external facilities.
- Contribute to IP generation: Support the creation and protection of intellectual property arising from product development.
- Document and present results: Ensure thorough documentation and clear presentation of development outcomes to internal and external audiences.
- Foster a collaborative, diverse, and ambitious team culture: Work in a dynamic, international environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
Furthermore you will:
- Co-develop and communicate a clear product development vision and roadmap, adapting to feedback of internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into actionable development plans.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure best practices are followed.
- Monitor and report on product progress, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Resolve conflicts, remove obstacles, and balance stakeholder needs with technical feasibility.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in battery and material science.
- Act as product ambassador, sharing knowledge and answering questions internally and externally.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
You will report to the VP Product Development and your skills will complement dynamic team of Materials & Data Scientists and Engineers. You will be working in a dynamic scale-up environment as part of an international, ambitious and diverse team that is determined to make a better world with cleaner energy. You will gain valuable, on-the-job experience in a scale-up multi-national company, where no day is ever the same. Your primary location will be Eindhoven with occasional travel.
