Job description

  • Own the day-to-day operation and continuous evolution of Patagonia's Customer Data Platform (CDP), including partnering closely with data engineering teams on appropriate data architecture, integration, and validation.
  • Based on business needs, create a CDP technical roadmap and lead scoping and share-out conversations with business stakeholders. Translate business needs into technical requirements and facilitate collaboration between data users and other analytics and data engineering teams. Manage the implementation of the roadmap.
  • Partner with internal Technology, Reporting, and Analytics teams on data standardization and governance efforts for customer data; serve as the internal company expert on customer data.
  • Support the requirements gathering and development of data models that enable customer analytics and insights
  • Drive adoption of customer data across the organization through workshops and demos, and proactively identify new opportunities and use cases for customer data.
  • Manage and optimize our marketing tech stack - oversee the selection, implementation and maintenance of marketing technologies & ensure seamless data integration with existing systems (CDP, ESP, analytics tools, ad platforms.) Implement, monitor and troubleshoot tracking pixels, tags and server-side tracking to enhance campaign effectiveness, support with feed integrations.
  • Support A/B testing and experimentation for both paid media and CRM campaigns.
  • Maintain attribution models and ensure accurate reporting of digital marketing performance
  • Ensure GDPR compliance across all marketing technologies

Requirements

  • An inclusive mindset
  • Hands-on experience with independently managing a CDP platform (Amperity, Salesforce, Oracle)
  • Strong experience in working with SQL, including writing queries, managing databases, and optimizing performance. A strong understanding of SQL syntax, data manipulation and database structures is essential.
  • Good experience with marketing automation tools (Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or similar).
  • Good understanding of GDPR and data compliance requirements.
  • A technically fluent individual who can explain complex topics in simple terms to people with varying technical abilities.
  • A communicative person who values building strong relationships with colleagues and partners and proactively driving cross-functional collaboration
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, asks thoughtful questions, and helps to refine business requests into clear, actionable next steps.
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.

  • An interest in saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work

It's a plus if you also have the following:

  • Experience with Snowflake; familiarity with DBT and PowerBI (or other data visualization tools)
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, GA4 and social media ad platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit)
