Job description

As a Governance and Reporting Lead, you'll be at the heart of the Submarine Disposal Programme, driving excellence in project governance and reporting. Your work will enhance decision-making at every level, ensuring that critical projects run smoothly and meet the highest standards. This is a role where your expertise will make a tangible difference to national security and environmental responsibility, while accelerating your own career growth.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining robust reporting processes across the Disposal Programme, ensuring alignment with the Global Project Management Framework and Business Management System

  • Lead and manage governance processes for the Submarine Disposal Programme.
  • Develop and implement standardised reporting templates and frameworks.
  • Collect, analyse, and present project data to senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Maintain governance arrangements aligned with Naval Nuclear and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate reporting of milestones and KPIs.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite and 2-3 days working from home.

Requirements

Essential experience of the Governance and Reporting Lead

  • Experience in project management or PMO roles.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and APM competencies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with project management and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications for the Governance and Reporting Lead

  • APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
