Job description

We are looking for a Senior Planning Technical Support Officer to deliver a high quality customer service in a way that contributes to the achievement of the City Council's vision and objectives for a growing and sustainable city.

As a high performing Planning Team we are currently transforming the way we provide our service, looking to improve our processes and ensure the delivery of a value for money service.

The day to day requirements in your role will be providing monitoring, mapping and data support to the planning team. You will deal with enquiries, housing delivery and S106 monitoring, working with officers through varying mediums, seeking to resolve queries and using judgement as to when to pass on more complex issues. You will be undertaking data input and ensuring applications on the planning database are kept up to date.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

We are open to considering options including job sharing, part-time working, compressed hours working and different working arrangements for this role.

Requirements

We are looking for strong analytical and customer service skills, good communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal, to deal with members of the public and to establish rapport with colleagues and team members. You will have a keen eye for detail and able to work accurately in a busy environment, using your own initiative.
