Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Platform Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. You will play a pivotal role in our cloud strategy, working closely with development teams, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative and efficient cloud infrastructure. ️, * Design and Architect Azure Solutions: Develop and implement comprehensive cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services, considering scalability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate architectural decisions.
- Cloud Strategy and Roadmap: Contribute to the development and execution of the overall cloud strategy and roadmap, aligning with business objectives.
- Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and technical leadership to development and operations teams on Azure best practices, architecture patterns, and emerging technologies.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and implement IaC solutions using tools like ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform to automate and manage Azure resources.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure all Azure solutions adhere to security best practices and relevant compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA). Implement robust security controls and monitoring.
- Support Sales: Technical support during RFI, RFP requests…
- Migration and Modernization: Lead and support the migration of on-premises workloads to Azure, as well as the modernization of existing cloud applications.
- Cost Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize Azure resource utilization to ensure cost efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure high availability and performance of Azure services. Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Azure-based solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and operational documentation.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or a similar role with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
- In-depth knowledge of core Azure services, including:
- Compute (Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, Azure Functions)
- Storage (Blob Storage, Azure Files, Azure Disks, Azure NetApp Files)
- Networking (Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway)
- Databases (Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Security (Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Key Vault, Azure Active Directory)
- Monitoring (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
- Identity and Access Management (Azure AD, RBAC)
- Hybrid Cloud (Azure Local, Azure Arc)
- Cloud PC (AVD, Windows 365)
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python).
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Fluent in English and either French or Dutch, or both.
Desired Qualifications:
- Microsoft Azure certifications, e.g. :
- AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions,
- AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions,
- SC-300: Identity and Access Administrator Associate,
- AI-102, Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate).
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience in specific industries (e.g.finance, healthcare) can be an advantage
