Job description

Become part of Apple's world-class Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE) organization, where you'll collaborate with exceptional engineers across multifunctional teams to shape the future of wireless innovation. At Apple, you'll help create products used and loved by millions around the globe., Apple's Wireless Systems Analysis team is seeking talented, disciplined, and highly motivated engineers to work across multiple layers of groundbreaking cellular technologies. In this role, you will analyze system-level performance issues for future Apple cellular products, focusing on elevating the end-to-end user experience.

You will take a hands-on approach, leveraging diagnostics, analytics, crowdsourced data, lab and field logs, and architectural/code reviews to identify opportunities for improvement. This position requires close collaboration with teams across platform architecture, core telephony, firmware and protocol development, system test, field test, QA, standardization, and carrier engineering-driving enhancements from initial concept through commercialization.

You will also contribute to the development of advanced system evaluation tools and debugging capabilities as needed. Your work will directly influence the performance and user experience of Apple's flagship cellular products, including iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

If you're inspired to contribute to the next generation of Apple products, we'd love to have you on our team., Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Significant experience in system engineering or system performance analysis Strong working knowledge of 3GPP standards (5G/LTE), TCP/IP, and IMS Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python (preferred) or Perl Experience with software development or system design is a plus Strong debugging abilities and familiarity with analytics-driven performance evaluation Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional environments Curious, innovative, and passionate about solving real-world problems in new and meaningful ways, Extensive, hands-on experience in wireless cellular system log analysis, protocol debugging or cellular software development. Strong understanding of cellular communication systems and 3GPP standards (4G/5G) and LTE and 5G protocol stack. Exceptional analytical skills with a detail-oriented, results-driven mindset and able to thrive in fast-moving environments. Highly motivated and self-directed individual with excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
