Core Network Engineering

  • Build and maintain low-latency L2/L3 networks across global environments.
  • Configure high-performance switching platforms (Cisco Nexus).
  • Maintain Cisco Firepower (FMC / FTD) for secure, scalable operations.

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, patching, and penetration test coordination.
  • Support ISO27001/ISO9001 compliance and governance activities.
  • Participate in incident response, recovery, and continuity planning.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work cross-functionally with Software, Systems, and Project teams.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Monitor latency, performance, and security using advanced tools.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through learning and innovation.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Salesforce?, * 5-10 years' experience in mission-critical or low-latency network environments (finance, telco, MSP, defence).

  • Degree in Computer Science, Networking, Cyber Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Cisco CCNP/CCIE (Security or Enterprise) strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience delivering NTP/PTP services.
  • Strong low-latency L2/L3 expertise (STP/RSTP/LACP, OSPF, BGP).
  • Multicast experience (IGMP, PIM-SM/SSM, MSDP).
  • Strong Linux CLI + networking tools (tcpdump, wireshark, nmap).
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus & Firepower.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and support global operations.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.

Bonus Experience

  • Network automation (Python, scripting).
  • AWS/GCP networking exposure.
  • Familiarity with White Rabbit timing networks.

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive salary + benefits (including EMI share options & private medical).
  • 25 days holiday + company Christmas shutdown.
