Job description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Information Executive to oversee and strengthen Veezu's compliance and data protection framework. This includes maintaining compliance policies, leading audits and reviews, managing regulatory and police data requests, and ensuring proper documentation and escalation of incidents.
You will act as the central point of contact for data protection matters, including DSARs, police and auditor requests, and support with governance and reporting. The role also involves coordinating training, monitoring compliance performance, and ensuring that all data handling and information sharing processes are properly managed and compliant.

- Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure policies are reviewed regularly and updated in response to legislative changes or internal audits.
- Lead internal audits and compliance reviews to assess adherence to policies.
- Work with internal teams to maintain documentation of compliance activities, including complaints and investigations.
- Periodically provide assistance to teams on handling complaints
- Design and deliver compliance training programmes across the organisation.
- Prepare reports to board on compliance.
Data Protection function:
- Oversee data breach response processes and ensure incidents are documented and escalated appropriately.
- Support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) where required.
- Act as a first point of contact for police data requests. Collate evidence from various teams and assist with the preparation of witness statements.
- Be the central point of contact for dealing with DSAR requests
- Championing adherence to ISO27001 standards, setting high benchmarks for information security and compliance practices across the organization.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Organizational skills?, * I3 years plus of proven experience in compliance, data protection, or information governance roles.
- Background managing regulatory, police, or auditor data requests and handling sensitive information securely.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of security policies, audits, and governance and RISK compliance frameworks including industry and security best practices e.g. ISO27001 & GDPR etc.
- Awareness of application security best practices, tools and methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using GDPR GRC platforms.
- Experiencing using iCabbi is desirable.
