Job description
- Design, install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, networking, and peripheral hardware
- Implement and maintain OS, virtualization platforms, and system monitoring tools
- Collaborate with software, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure hardware compatibility and optimal system performance
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management
- Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure performance issues
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities for critical systems
- Implement security policies, patch management, and vulnerability mitigation
- Support technical problem solving, root cause analysis, and incident resolution
Requirements
- Must have experience with Hardware & Infrastructure - Setting-up Servers (Dell, HP, Cisco), Storage systems and configuration of Networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Strong experience with Operating Systems both Linux and Windows Servers.
- Virtualization & Cloud Platforms - VMware, AWS, Azure
- Database & Application Support - Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Scripting & Automation - Bash, PowerShell, Python
- Networking Protocols - TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, Subnetting, Firewalls, Routing/Switching
- System Monitoring & Management - Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds
