This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering automated business processes and digital solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform. The post-holder will focus on RPA, workflow automation, and Power App development to support operational efficiency across the organisation. The developer is expected to work autonomously, managing the full lifecycle of automation projects from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing optimisation. Experience with agentic AI tools or systems integration frameworks is a strong advantage.

Main Tasks & Activities:

Power Platfor Development & Delivery:

• Design, build, Test, deploy and maintain solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Copilot Studio, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and best-practice standards.
• Create scalable and maintainable RPA workflows to reduce manual effort and improve process reliability.
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and lead solution delivery with minimal supervision.
• Optimise and enhance existing Power Platform solutions to improve performance, usability, and stability.
• Apply appropriate testing methodologies for low-code applications and automations prior to deployment.

Automation & Integration

• Identify automation opportunities across departments and propose effective, measurable improvements.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with internal systems, databases, and third-party applications using connectors, APIs, and custom integrations.
• Apply best practice in data governance, security, and compliance within automation and low-code applications.
• Where appropriate, incorporate agentic AI or Copilot-based capabilities to enhance automation outcomes.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD using ARM/BICEP/Terraform for Power Platform and automation components to ensure consistent, reliable, and repeatable deployments across environments.

Documentation & Project Management

• Maintain accurate documentation covering solution design, configuration, architecture, and deployment.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure solutions are completed on schedule.
• Provide clear updates and reports regarding progress, risks, and ongoing support needs.
• Participate in Agile delivery practices (SCRUM/Kaban), including stand-ups, sprint planning, or Kanban activity management.

Other duties

• Communicate and collaborate across the IT function and with business teams.
• The post-holder will be required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be expected. All members of staff are expected to be professional, co-operative and flexible within the needs of the post, the department and the Company.
