Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Optimize database performance, including indexing, query tuning, and troubleshooting slow queries.
  • Build, maintain, and automate ETL processes using SSIS or other data pipeline tools.
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and database objects for reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with analysts and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
  • Support application teams with SQL integrations and backend database logic.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across databases.
  • Monitor production databases and resolve performance or reliability issues.
  • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and cloud-based database transitions.
  • Document database structures, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tableau?, * 3-12 years of professional experience as a SQL Developer or Database Developer.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server / T-SQL (or similar RDBMS such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Complex stored procedures
  • Views, functions, triggers
  • Indexing, query optimization, performance tuning
  • Experience developing and supporting ETL processes (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of relational database design, normalization, and data modelling.
  • Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Comfortable working in Agile or collaborative team environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£85,000.00 per year
