Requirements
Do you have experience in System design?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Holds a Masters degree in a relevant discipline and is chartered with a recognized professional body such as IET, CIBSE, IMechE, or BCS. A Master's in Smart Buildings and Digital Engineering (or a closely related field) would be highly advantageous

Has experience of building proof of concept technologies to demonstrate a particular use case.

Has expertise in managing buildings /workspaces or coordinate teams of Hard / Soft FM in their operational phase.

Has extensive experience of building systems design or building management and controls systems with a strong interest in IoT and systems integration, data analytics and Building System Analytics platforms. Plus the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions for Smart Building Concepts, into defined package solutions,

Has delivered project designs from concept through to commissioning and completion, experience of working with buildings in operation to improve their performance & the ability to create data solutions, sketch out physical & data topologies, and understand their relationships.

Has knowledge in one or more the following specific technical areas, which would be an advantage in to bring building systems and software and computing knowledge together:

Existing and emerging building controls languages & protocols

IP IoT device integration

Sensor systems and sensor networks

The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join Arup as a Smart Buildings Consultant working within our UK teams.
Our European team, based in hub offices in London, Glasgow, and Dublin, is expanding to support the significant pipeline of world class project opportunities with some of the leading organisations pushing the boundaries of data driven building design.
The team works closely with other teams across Arup and is the hub for multidisciplinary working, bringing together different specialists and advisory services to suit client and project needs. Some of the opportunities that exist include working with technology companies and portfolio asset owners and developers such as British Land and Derwent London.
The role will see you:
* Being part of the digital buildings team supporting the winning, bidding, and successful delivery of projects and actively developing the team to deliver complex solutions.
* Leading projects as a project team coordinator/manager of Smart Building Consulting commissions.
* Representing Arup in client meetings and external presentations
* Helping grow the technical expertise in the groups in data management across the building asset life cycle. This will also include collaborating and where appropriate leading teams across Arup Advisory, Technology and Digital Services.
* Supporting clients with their operating strategy (minimum viable operating model) for Smart Buildings in operation
* Engaging with stakeholders, running and hosting client workshops, plus articulating complex technical content to reach a level of client understanding to complex subjects and arrive at decisions.
