Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated Big Data Analyst to join our growing data team. This role is ideal for candidates at all experience levels-from recent graduates with strong analytical skills to seasoned professionals with extensive big-data expertise. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to collect, analyse, and interpret large data sets to drive business insights and decision-making., * Collect, process, and analyse large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Develop, maintain, and optimise big-data pipelines using modern data-engineering tools.
- Generate meaningful insights through data mining, statistical analysis, and data modelling.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges and provide data-driven solutions.
- Build dashboards, reports, and visualisations to present findings effectively.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all systems.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business teams.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tableau?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, This is a fully remote position; however, the candidate must be located in the UK with full work eligibility., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of SQL, Python, or R.
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with big-data concepts (Hadoop, Spark, cloud platforms) is a plus.
- Proven experience working with large datasets in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in SQL and one programming language (Python, Scala, or R).
- Experience with big-data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Hive).
- Expertise in data modelling, ETL processes, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong reporting and dashboard development experience.
- Extensive experience leading data projects or working in big-data ecosystems.
- Deep expertise in distributed computing frameworks, data warehouse/lake architectures, and cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to design scalable data solutions and mentor junior team members.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into strategic insights.
- Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics.
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Familiarity with GDPR and data governance best practices.
