Job description
· In summary, the post holder will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our healthcare and NHS Fleet Solutions systems. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test cases using C# and Playwright. · Over time, you will understand user journeys and manual test cases and be expected to convert them into automated test cases. · You will be responsible for setting up the test runs to execute as part of the CI/CD pipeline · Your role will involve collaboration with Business Analysts, Test Analysts / Engineers, and Developers to maintain high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. · You will be expected to mentor / upskill QA Analysts and Junior QA Analysts in terms of the Automation framework and best practice. · To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. Requirements
· Degree level or equivalent plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate diploma level or equivalent relevant experience. · The candidate should have a good level of knowledge around all aspects of QA testing and an understanding of the wider software development lifecycle, underpinned by theory and professional experience. · Previous experience in a QA role · Substantial experience of creating and executing automated test strategies - both UI driven and coded as part of a CI pipeline · Substantial experience of creating and executing manual test strategies · Experience writing coded tests using C# and the Playwright framework · Contribute to organisational digital strategy by defining QA automation roadmap aligned with Trust objectives · Experience of working in an Agile environment · Engaging with project stakeholders · Experience of testing web-based applications and demonstrate examples of security testing · Possesses advanced complex data management/manipulation skills, including detailed working experience of a mainstream development IDE. · Also advises using advanced and highly-developed technical skills, within an operational IT, technical, or systems management function in a pro-active team-based environment. · Ability to challenge requirements and collaborate with developers to find solutions., · Degree level or equivalent plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate diploma level or equivalent relevant experience. · The candidate should have a good level of knowledge around all aspects of QA testing and an understanding of the wider software development lifecycle, underpinned by theory and professional experience. · Previous experience in a QA role · Substantial experience of creating and executing automated test strategies - both UI driven and coded as part of a CI pipeline · Substantial experience of creating and executing manual test strategies · Experience writing coded tests using C# and the Playwright framework · Contribute to organisational digital strategy by defining QA automation roadmap aligned with Trust objectives · Experience of working in an Agile environment · Engaging with project stakeholders · Experience of testing web-based applications and demonstrate examples of security testing · Possesses advanced complex data management/manipulation skills, including detailed working experience of a mainstream development IDE. · Also advises using advanced and highly-developed technical skills, within an operational IT, technical, or systems management function in a pro-active team-based environment. · Ability to challenge requirements and collaborate with developers to find solutions. · To lead, inspire and motivate others to high performance by agreeing clear goals and objectives, providing support and guidance and creating opportunities for development. · To contribute to the develop of a culture of high engagement, where staff are empowered and entrusted to provide the best services and care for patients.
