Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a critical project for one of the Netherlands' leading energy organisations. This role focusses on maintaining and modernising a large-scale on-premise IT environment, ensuring stability, security, and efficiency., Windows & VMware Administration:

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments and VMware virtualisation platforms.
• Perform upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting across the infrastructure stack

Backup & Monitoring:

• Implement and manage backup solutions (e.g., VEEAM) and monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, ELK).

Automation & Process Improvement:

• Use configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) and scripting (PowerShell/Bash) to automate routine tasks.

Security & Compliance:

• Apply security best practices, enforce policies, and collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance.

Stakeholder Support:

• Provide operational support, assist with planning and risk management, and contribute to infrastructure design discussions.

• Experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role in enterprise environments.
• Strong skills in Windows Server administration and VMware virtualisation.
• Familiarity with backup and monitoring tools (VEEAM, Zabbix, ELK).
• Basic Linux knowledge (Ubuntu/CentOS) is a plus.
• Understanding of networking and security concepts (Citrix Netscaler, SIEM, 2FA).
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Comfortable working in a structured, long-term project environment.
