Founding Software Engineer

Founding Software Engineer (Full Stack) Location: Fully Remote, must be based in European Union (HQ Berlin) We're working with a VC-backed startup looking for a Founding Software Engineer to help build and shape their product from the ground up. You'll work across the stack, make key technical decisions, and influence how the product looks, feels, and functions. The team is small, fast, and collaborative, ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, quick iteration, and turning ideas into shipped features. What You'll Do * Build core product features end to end * Take the lead on frontend development (TypeScript, React, Next.js) * Work with the founders to shape the product and roadmap * Jump into the backend (Python, PHP) when needed * Help define early engineering culture, processes, and architecture What They're Looking For * Strong full stack skills with a frontend focus * Comfortable owning projects from idea to production * Enjoys fast-paced, early-stage environments * Clear communicator and able to work independently in a remote setup Nice-to-Haves * Experience with Python or PHP * Previous early-stage or startup experience * Examples of polished products or features you've built * Interested in joining a small founding team to have a real impact on both product and tech direction.
