Job description
Lockheed Martin UK are hiring Software Engineering Graduates to join teams in our Gloucester office. You will be trained to build critical solutions in cutting-edge technologies, working under general direction and support from your Software Engineering Lead.

Duties include:
- Working alongside senior engineers in discussions with customers to elicit requirements, converting operational needs into technical specifications.
- Designing and implementing software solutions based on requirements to meet defined Acceptance Criteria.
- Writing clean, maintainable code, applying best practice, and reviewing others' code.
- Championing automation in the form of IaC, CI/CD and test automation.
- Supporting Integration & Test teams during formal test phases.
- Performing technical investigations of problems raised against operational systems.
Requirements
- Degree in a STEM subject, preferably Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- A good understanding of OOP and experience with one or more of the following: Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.
- Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- An awareness of Agile, Cloud, DevSecOps or GitLab is a plus.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage own time to meet project needs.
