Job description

The IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing Level 2 support to our associates via Microsoft Teams, phone calls, email and in person interactions. At the helpdesk, you will ask appropriate questions and use your knowledge to resolve the associate's ServiceDesk tickets. You will work in the global team to resolve issues as they arise and escalate issues as needed. You will play a crucial role in resolving IT-related issues remotely, ensuring the smooth operation of systems, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. This role will be in Ghent, Belgium and this role is ON-Site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IT fundamentals, including hardware, operating systems (MAC, Windows 11), networking, and productivity software such as PDF software, Office 365.
  • 2-5 years of experience is required as a IT Support Engineer or Technical support.
  • Experience on software like Intune, Windows Defender & Okta
  • Conferencing/calling solutions like Teams.
  • Audio Video equipment & integration with software solutions.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and technologies.
  • Active Directory User Administration along with basic experience on DNS, Network, VPN.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch language, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to multi-task and quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with IT Service Management tools., * Experienced in Setup/Configuring/troubleshooting of Office 365 products.
  • Must have experience with Computer installation and break/fix on Apple or Windows devices.
  • Proficient in drive encryption with BitLocker or File Vault.
  • Perform onsite/remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for VIPs and other end users.
  • Experienced in investigating system problems and provide solutions using specific product knowledge, system utilities, and operating environment.
  • Perform installs, moves, add, changes, and decommission of computer equipment.
  • Proficient in documentation and creating/maintaining knowledge base articles.
  • Work with vendor and internal teams for hardware procurement.
