Job description

  • Technical Support:

  • Assist data engineers and data scientists with technical challenges and support through direct interactions within their teams.

  • Make sure technical debt is identified, understood and managed through. Provide tooling to help manage this debt (testing, automation, AI agents, …).

  • Collaborate with data platform and support teams to improve the overall developer experience.

  • Evangelism:

  • Promote the adoption of the data platform by a daily usage, delivering its value to existing users.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies relevant to data platforms.

  • Upskilling teams

  • Assess current team level on Data Platform tools and practices and improve it with training.

  • Advertise and animate a community of practice to build improvement to showcase our Data Platform capabilities.

  • Create technical content to help developers understand and utilize our platform effectively.

  • Feedback Loop:

  • Actively gather feedback from the developer to product enhancements to the platform engineering.

  • Provide relevant tests for technical assets produced by the data platform engineers and make sure they match current usages within the feature teams.

  • Advocate for data engineers and data scientist within the company, ensuring their needs and challenges are understood and addressed.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spark?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related fields.

At least 5 years as an Engineer, with at least 3 years dedicated to data-centric projects.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in Python
  • Deep expertise in AWS
  • Experiences in Infra-as-Code framework
  • Experience with Pandas or Spark
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices
  • CI/CD pipelines

Technological environment:

  • AWS: S3, EMR, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, Cloud Formation, CDK, Lambda, Fargate, …
  • Data engineering: Airflow, Parquet, Apache Iceberg
  • DevOps: Jenkins, SonarQube, Conda
  • Software: Python, Ruff
