Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are looking to recruit an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team in Dundee. The role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects involving embedded microcontrollers and devices, with particular focus on firmware for tachograph-related systems. You will develop and maintain firmware in C/C++, collaborate closely with our hardware team, and contribute to the design of reliable, maintainable, and high-performance embedded systems.

Do you have experience in Scripting?, Strong background in Embedded C/C++ development

• Understanding of low-level hardware/firmware interactions
• Familiarity with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or JTAG

Nice-to-have skills:

• Knowledge of RTOS or bare-metal development
• Experience with 8051 assembler
• Python scripting for testing or automation
• Basic electronics or schematic reading
• Exposure to version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
